Booneville, Miss., --Northeast Mississippi Community College's head baseball coach Kent Farris signed two more standout players to his 2013-14 recruiting class.
Colby Williams and Trent Turner both inked to play for the Tigers in a signing ceremony held at Brandon High School (BHS) in Mississippi last Friday.
"Williams and Turner were mainstays for the Bulldogs this past spring and led their team to Division Championship and 6A State Playoffs," Farris said.
Williams, a 5-7,170-pound outfielder boasted a batting average of .402, on base percentage of .548, along with 33 hits, 13 runs batted in, and finished with 40 runs during his senior year.
Turner, a 6-0,175-pound outfielder hit just below Williams at .337 while his on base percentage was .479 on 31 hits and finished with 18 runs batted in after his senior campaign.
"We are excited to have these two fine young men join our program, added Farris. "They are from absolutely incredible families and will be excellent additions to our baseball team both on and off the field. Coach Stacy Hester has done an outstanding job with the BHS Baseball program and anytime we can get players from his program it is going to be beneficial for us."
