BOONEVILLE, Miss. – Northeast Mississippi Community College head softball coach Jody Long has a tryout date for the 2013-14 Lady Tiger softball team.

Northeast will hold its second tryout of the offseason on May 21 at Booneville City Park starting at 1 p.m.

Tryouts are for unsigned 2013 seniors whose high school seasons have culminated by the tryout date and for all collegiate athletes with at least one year of eligibility left and a release from their scholarship at the previous school.

Athletes will need to bring practice attire, a glove or mitt depending upon the position, a bat and a helmet.

All athletes that tryout will also be required to sign a tryout waiver and will be judged on conditioning, throwing, fielding, hitting, base running and pro-agility times.

Athletes that tryout for the 2013-14 Lady Tiger softball team are asked to fill out the potential student-athlete form on the NEMCC Athletic website at http://nemccathletics.com/athletics/softballform prior to the tryout date.
