NORTHEAST FOOTBALL SENDS 22 PLAYERS TO THE FOUR-YEAR LEVEL

Booneville, MS – Northeast Football put another winning season into the record books for the Tigers in the 2025 season and added on to their success by sending 22 sophomores off to the four-year level with 17 signing to the NCAA Division 1 level to continue their careers. 

 

  • Jeremiah Harrell | Texas Southern
    • Quarterback | Harrell appeared in 17 total games during his career with Northeast and started eight of his nine games as a sophomore. In 2025 he led the Tigers to a 5-4 record while throwing for 1,487 passing yards, completing 51.1% of his passes and running for 296 rushing yards and scored 18 total touchdowns with 14 passing and 4 rushing. His best game of the season came against Itawamba where he recorded 197 passing yards with 66 rushing yards and 4 total touchdowns including three through the air.  

 

  • Qua Middlebrooks | East Texas A&M
    • Running Back | Middlebrooks transferred to Northeast after playing for Northwest in the 2024 season and earned All-MACCC honorable mention honors in his lone year with the Tigers. In 2025 he rushed for 610 yards with an average of 67.8 yards per game while scoring 9 rushing touchdowns and added 2 receiving touchdowns off 330 receiving yards for 940 total yards on the year. He recorded 102 rushing yards for a season high with one touchdown against Itawamba and caught two touchdowns with 111 receiving yards against his former team of Northwest. 

 

  • JT Beasley | Eastern Michigan
    • Wide Receiver | Beasley was an All-MACCC honorable mention selection in 2024 as a freshman and was a second team selection as a sophomore in 2025. This past season he recorded 437 receiving yards for 3 touchdowns with an average of 48.6 yards per game on 26 receptions for 16.8 yards per catch. He had two games of over a hundred yards receiving with a career high of 123 against East Mississippi including a 95-yard touchdown, and 107 yards against Copiah-Lincoln with a touchdown in the season finale. 

 

  • Makyi Reed-Jones | Southeast Missouri
    • Wide Receiver | Reed-Jones was a deep threat receiver for the Tigers in his sophomore season with an average of 30.1 yards per catch with 271 total receiving yards on the season while reaching the end zone three times. He recorded 67 yards and a touchdown against Holmes and a 74-yard touchdown against Itawamba with his first touchdown of the season coming against Southwest where he carried three defenders on his back into the end zone.  

 

  • Jeremiah Augustin | UVA Wise
    • Wide Receiver | Augustin was a monster of a presence on the field for Northeast, standing at 6'5" and weighing in at 225 from Jupiter, FL. As a sophomore he recorded 168 receiving yards with a pair of touchdowns, one coming against Southwest and the other coming against Coahoma with a career high 63 receiving yards. 

 

  • Alfred Washington | Illinois
    • Offensive Lineman | Washington signed to play in the Big 10 with Illinois after starting in all 18 career games he appeared and earning All-MACCC honorable mention honors in 2025. This year he was a part of a starting O-Line that sent every player to the Division 1 level while helping the offense to 29.7 points and 323.2 yards per game. 

 

  • JT Fagan | Marshall
    • Offensive Lineman | Fagan was named to the All-MACCC First Team in 2025 after starting in all nine games for a Tigers offense that put up the most points per game in over a decade. He helped lead the way for Northeast to score 20+ points in eight of nine games with two games of 40+ in a 45-7 win over Coahoma and a 41-14 win against Itawamba. 

 

  • Hunter Howard | Prairie View A&M
    • Offensive Lineman | Howard transferred from Mississippi Gulf Coast to Northeast for the 2025 season where he started in all nine games for the Tigers. He helped lead an offense that ranked in the top half of the MACCC in every offensive category including first in fourth down conversions at 78% completion that also ranked in the top tier of the NJCAA. 

 

  • Walker Thompson | Mississippi Valley State
    • Offensive Lineman | Thompson appeared in 14 games during his career with the Tigers and started all nine as a sophomore in the middle of the O-Line. He helped lead the way for a rushing offense that averaged 126.6 yards per game and scored 19 total rushing touchdowns on the season with a running back who ranked top ten in rushing yards per game. 

 

  • Trace Wegmann | Nicholls State
    • Offensive Lineman | Wegmann transferred from Northwest to Northeast for the 2025 season where he started in all nine games for the Tigers. He helped protect a passing game that averaged 196.7 passing yards per game on 51.0% completion and threw for 15 passing touchdowns for the most scored since the 2017 season. 

 

  • Stuart Goldman | Benedict
    • Offensive Lineman | Goldman transferred to Northeast after spending his freshman season with Southwest. He appeared in all nine games across the offensive line including both tackle positions for an offense that scored nearly 30.0 points per game.  

 

  • Tyrese Cathey | Georgia State
    • Defensive End | Cathey was a first team All-MACCC selection in 2025 after starting in all nine games for the Tigers and recorded 6.5 sacks which ranked fourth in the conference. On the season he totaled 25 tackles with 7.0 tackles for loss with his best performances coming against East Central and Coahoma where he recorded two sacks in each game. 

 

  • Kyshawn Kimble | Alcorn State
    • Defensive End | Kimble went from two tackles as a freshman to being a crucial piece of the defensive line in 2025 for Northeast. He totaled 28 tackles on the year with 4.5 sacks and 7.5 tackles for loss while forcing two fumbles and recovering one that he took back for 14 yards against Coahoma. His best games of the season came against Southwest where he recorded two sacks and Copiah-Lincoln where he had six tackles including two TFLs. 

 

  • Rickey Banks | Louisiana Monroe
    • Linebacker | Banks over the course of his career with Northeast recorded 109 tackles with 70 coming as a sophomore. A second team All-MACCC selection in 2025, he also recorded 1.5 sacks and 7.0 tackles for loss with a fumble recovery and an interception. He recorded 10+ tackles in three games this past season with 12 tackles against East Mississippi, 11 against Southwest to go with his INT, and 10 against Copiah-Lincoln to end the season. 

 

  • Jackson Parker | Louisiana Monroe
    • Linebacker | Parker transferred from East Central to Northeast for the 2025 season where he was one of the best at getting into the back field for loss of yardage. He recorded 38 total tackles with 26 being solo to go with 3.0 sacks and 5.5 tackles for loss on the year. Parker tallied a career high 12 tackles against Northwest with 8 being solo while recording sacks against Mississippi Delta, East Mississippi, and Copiah-Lincoln. 

 

  • Ryan McCall | Murray State
    • Linebacker | McCall totaled 132 tackles between two seasons as a Tiger with 73 as a sophomore in 2025 to earn All-MACCC first team honors. He ranked fifth in the conference in total tackles while ranking fourth in tackles for loss with 12.5 to go with 3.5 sacks, a force fumble, and an interception against Southwest that was returned for 69 yards. Three times on the season McCall tallied 10+ tackles with 15 against Northwest, 10 against East Mississippi, and 10 against Itawamba including 1.5 sacks. 

 

  • Jameson Mosley | Arkansas Pine Bluff
    • Linebacker | Mosley over the past two years recorded 88 total tackles with 51 coming as a sophomore in 2025 with 8.5 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks plus one forced fumble. His top games of the season include East Central with 7 tackles and 2 TFLs, Mississippi Delta with 6 tackles and 3 TFLs, and East Mississippi where he recorded a career high 12 tackles against the Lions. 

 

  • Curtis Brown | Delta State
    • Linebacker | As a sophomore with the Tigers, Brown totaled 24 tackles with 11 being solo to go with 2 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks in the 2025 season. He appeared in all nine games and recorded at least one tackle in each game with 4 tackles and a sack in the season opener against East Central. His career high came against Coahoma with 5 tackles while recorded 3 tackles in three straight games against Mississippi Delta, Holmes, and Northwest. 

 

  • Trevor Walton | Arkansas Pine Bluff
    • Defensive Back | Walton transferred from Northwest to Northeast for the 2025 season where he recorded 35 total tackles, 20 being solo, and 2 pass breakups with one interception. His lone interception came in week one against East Central to go with 7 tackles while both pass breakups came against Northwest with 3 tackles. He also recorded 6 tackles against Mississippi Delta, 5 against Holmes, and 4 against both Copiah-Lincoln and Southwest. 

 

  • Elijah Johnson | Delta State
    • Defensive Back | Johnson appeared in six games for the Tigers in 2025 where he recorded 11 total tackles with 8 being solo for an average of nearly two tackles per game. He recorded a career high of 3 tackles against both Northwest and Copiah-Lincoln with 2 tackles against Itawamba in a 41-14 win. 

 

  • Tre'Marcus Webb | UT Martin
    • Defensive Back | Webb was an All-MACCC honorable mention selection in 2025 for the Tigers after ranking first in the conference with 271 punt return yards. He was named MACCC and NJCAA special teams player of the week after recording 63 punt return yards and a punt return touchdown against East Central in a 24-13 win. He recorded 100 punt return yards against Coahoma and 61 the week after against Itawamba where he also had 8 tackles at defensive back. 

 

  • Jayden Parker | Arkansas at Monticello
    • Defensive Back | Following a solid freshman campaign, Parker made a big jump for the Tigers in his sophomore season as the starting strong safety. He started in all nine games for Northeast and recorded 44 tackles with 21 being solo and breaking up 5 pass attempts. He had one of his most impactful games of the season against Northwest with 7 tackles and two pass breakups against the Rangers.
