Dana Glissen went 2-3, helping the Northeast Tigers to a 5-2 victory over Bethel University on Friday at Martin, Tenn.
She singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the sixth inning.
After pushing across one run in the top of the fifth, Bethel University faced just a 2-1 deficit. An RBI single by Emily Roper gave Bethel University life. Finally,Erica Clifton induced an inning-ending single from Summer Winters.
It didn't take long for the Northeast to respond as they scored two runs of their own in the fifth. The Northeast Tigers scored on an RBI double by Haleigh Moffett and a steal of home by Andrea Cutts.
One run in the top of the seventh helped Bethel University close its deficit to 5-2. An RBI single by Haley Sullivan set off Bethel University rally. Finally, Trenisha King got Winters to ground out to end the game.
