High School: Played for coach Brad Breland at Union…Named to the Mississippi Association of Coaches (MAC) All-State second-team as a senior at center…Helped the Yellowjackets to the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) Class 2A playoffs all four years of his high school career…Played a pivotal role for the Yellowjackets with his precision snaps to the quarterback…Lifted Union to an opening round playoff victory against Amite County during his final campaign at the prep level…Assisted the Yellowjackets during an eight-win season one year earlier…Captured another MHSAA Class 2A postseason triumph versus Puckett in 2013…Part of a Union program that compiled 36 wins over his four years at the school…Also a member of the baseball team…Compiled a .293 batting average as a senior with 24 total hits, 17 RBIs and 10 runs scored…Had a career .342 on-base percentage for the Yellowjackets…Clinched a berth to the MHSAA Class 2A playoffs during his final campaign on the diamond…Advanced to the second round with a three-game series victory against West Lincoln.
